Hello all, A long, long time ago, I promised to reorganise the Forums in order to make the 2000 posts more accessible. After a few weeks of testing, the new structure is now ready to be made available. This doesn’t mean that we’re stuck with this setup forever: if you have any suggestions for improvement, I’ll be happy to implement them.
The Discussion Forums will be taken offline for a few hours on Thursday, 2 September. After the conversion, the following categories will be available:
The 6/80 & MO Clubo General & Club Issues
o Newsletter
(Everything related to the Newsletter, the Newsletter OnLine, and the Newsletter Archive)o About the Forums
(Your questions, remarks and suggestions regarding the Member’s Area)o Historical
(The history of the car types the Club caters for, in contemporary or recent publications)Technical issueso Body, Paint & Chrome
(Chassis, body panels and -well- paint & chrome)o Brakes, Tyres & Wheels
o Clutch, Gearbox & Drive Train
o Cooling
o Electrics
(Everything electric, except ignition, for which see Engine)o Engine
(Including Ignition – matters regarding fuel and exhaust have their own section)o Fuel & Exhaust
o Interior & Trim
o Steering & Suspension
o Parts, Pieces & Cars
(Parts & Pieces you’re looking for or have found, plus stories about your cars)Archiveo ARC: About the Forums
o ARC: General & Club Issues
o ARC: Historical
o ARC: Newsletter
The downside is, of course, that you’ll have more options to consider when deciding what category your contribution belongs to – and possibly more work for Pat Carroll, the Moderator. On the other hand, finding information on a specific object will be much easier.
I sincerely hope that this new setup will be of benefit to the usability of the Discussion Forums.
Regards,
Henk (Webmaster)

For anyone who hasn’t spotted it yet, there’s a very useful little tool at the top right of the intro page which will show you any new posts since your last visit, to save you having to scan down the list to see if there’s been any new posts you haven’t seen yet.
Cheers, Pat.
